Reflexión Académica: Universidad César Vallejo Reafirma el Valor del Patrimonio Cultural
La casa de estudios trujillana organizó un evento con especialistas para debatir sobre la importancia de conservar la memoria histórica y cultural del Perú.
La Universidad César Vallejo (UCV), en su compromiso con la formación integral y la identidad cultural, desarrolló un foro académico sobre el valor del patrimonio cultural en el que participaron investigadores, docentes y especialistas en gestión patrimonial. El evento, titulado “El valor del patrimonio cultural”, fue organizado por la carrera de Arquitectura y Urbanismo de la filial Trujillo como parte de su agenda formativa de proyección cultural.
El espacio permitió abrir un diálogo entre estudiantes y expertos sobre el significado del patrimonio como memoria colectiva, así como sobre las amenazas que enfrenta en el contexto contemporáneo. Los expositores coincidieron en que la arquitectura, los objetos, las costumbres y los saberes son componentes fundamentales que deben preservarse frente al avance de la modernidad y el olvido institucional.
Durante su participación, el Mg. Jorge Espinoza, director de la Escuela Profesional de Arquitectura y Urbanismo, enfatizó la importancia de que los futuros arquitectos comprendan el rol que cumplen en la defensa del patrimonio tangible e intangible. Asimismo, se destacó que la educación superior tiene el reto de formar profesionales con una visión crítica sobre el entorno y comprometidos con la identidad local.
Esta iniciativa se suma a otras acciones desarrolladas por la universidad para promover la conciencia patrimonial entre sus alumnos, como visitas técnicas, talleres de restauración y concursos sobre arquitectura vernácula. La UCV continúa apostando por la construcción de ciudadanía desde una perspectiva cultural y académica.

The César Vallejo University (UCV), committed to comprehensive education and cultural identity, held an academic forum on the value of cultural heritage with the participation of researchers, professors, and specialists in heritage management. The event, titled "The Value of Cultural Heritage", was organized by the School of Architecture and Urbanism at the Trujillo campus as part of its cultural outreach program.
The space fostered dialogue between students and experts on the meaning of heritage as collective memory, and the threats it faces in modern times. Speakers agreed that architecture, artifacts, customs, and knowledge are fundamental elements that must be preserved against the tide of modernity and institutional neglect.
Mg. Jorge Espinoza, director of the Architecture and Urbanism program, emphasized the need for future architects to understand their role in defending both tangible and intangible heritage. The forum highlighted the responsibility of higher education in shaping professionals with a critical perspective and a commitment to local identity.
This initiative adds to other actions promoted by the university to raise heritage awareness among students, including technical visits, restoration workshops, and competitions on vernacular architecture. UCV continues to invest in building citizenship through a cultural and academic lens.
