Un hito arquitectónico en la Gran Área de la Bahía

En la Gran Área de la Bahía, la región metropolitana más grande del mundo con casi mil millones de habitantes, se erige el nuevo Museo de Ciencia y Tecnología de Shenzhen. Diseñado por el renombrado estudio Zaha Hadid Architects, este recinto cultural se convierte en un referente arquitectónico y turístico en Shenzhen, China.

Diseño innovador y funcionalidad

El edificio se extiende hacia el oeste, creando terrazas que ofrecen vistas al parque natural circundante. Estas terrazas son extensiones de las galerías internas ubicadas en el atrio central, parte de los 35,000 m² destinados a exposiciones permanentes y temporales.

Además, cuenta con 6,000 m² de teatros y cines inmersivos, y 34,000 m² dedicados a talleres sobre diseño, arquitectura, literatura y ciencia. Las galerías se integran con el entorno a través de una pared de cristal que difumina la frontera entre el interior y el exterior, permitiendo que la luz natural se fusione con las piezas expuestas.

Compromiso con la sostenibilidad

El diseño del museo incorpora estrategias ambientales pasivas, utilizando simulaciones informáticas avanzadas para optimizar la temperatura, humedad y ventilación, adaptándose al clima de Shenzhen. La orientación del edificio minimiza la acumulación de calor y maximiza las vistas panorámicas al parque.

La fachada es la primera en China realizada a gran escala con tecnología INCO, que genera una película de óxido sobre la superficie de acero, protegiéndola y permitiendo su autolimpieza, aumentando la resistencia a los cambios climáticos y eliminando la necesidad de pinturas.

An architectural landmark in the Greater Bay Area

In the Greater Bay Area, the world's largest metropolitan region with nearly one billion inhabitants, stands the new Shenzhen Science and Technology Museum. Designed by the renowned firm Zaha Hadid Architects, this cultural venue becomes an architectural and tourist landmark in Shenzhen, China.

Innovative design and functionality

The building extends westward, creating terraces that offer views of the surrounding natural park. These terraces are extensions of the internal galleries located in the central atrium, part of the 35,000 m² allocated for permanent and temporary exhibitions.

Additionally, it features 6,000 m² of immersive theaters and cinemas, and 34,000 m² dedicated to workshops on design, architecture, literature, and science. The galleries integrate with the environment through a glass wall that blurs the boundary between interior and exterior, allowing natural light to merge with the exhibited pieces.

Commitment to sustainability

The museum's design incorporates passive environmental strategies, using advanced computer simulations to optimize temperature, humidity, and ventilation, adapting to Shenzhen's climate. The building's orientation minimizes heat accumulation and maximizes panoramic views of the park.

The facade is the first in China built on a large scale with INCO technology, generating an oxide film on the steel surface, protecting it and allowing self-cleaning, increasing resistance to climate changes, and eliminating the need for paints.
